This is a picture of a 240-meter long suspension bridge crossing the Dujiangyan irrigation system about an hours drive northwest of Chengdu. The irrigation system was originally built around 256 B.C. Look closely at the bridge ... do you see all the people crossing it? The hillside opposite the bridge is home to the Fu Long Kuan or “Dragon Subduing Temple”. This hillside multi-structure temple is old and impressive. Do stay out of the water since it’s fast-flowing and I am sure unforgiving.
